Welcome to Open Resource Initiative website.
This is an initiative from the Department of Microbiology at ICB-USP to create a collection of reagents, protocols, methods and expertise to produce tools for modern molecular biology, in its broadest sense, to facilitate research, teaching and public engagement.
We have already a reasonable collection of tools of our own and we are working towards making as much of these available to community.
This is an “Open” initiative as the tools and reagents described here are openly available to anyone who wants to use them, along to with details on how to use them. We plan also to create courses at different levels to help to disseminate the expertise and the reagents as broadly as possible and to ensure scientists can make the best use of these resources, to increase productivity and capacity.
This initiative is part of the FAPESP-funded SPEC project, lead by Profs Marko Hyvönen and Andrea Balan.
